Job Description

Tremploy Inc. is a non-profit registered charitable community-based organization that provides vocational training and support services to adults who have an intellectual disability. These services will assist individuals in exploring their full potential and empower them to contribute and participate in a meaningful way within the community.Tremploy Inc. is seeking an experienced and innovative Business Development Officer to continue the growth of Tremploy Inc. Ideally, the candidate will be community-minded and can successfully build and foster new and current relationships. The candidate will also help establish long-range objectives and determine the appropriate strategies and actions to achieve them.The candidate will manage the pipelines of client workers, business capacity, and customer demand. Maintain a balance between all three while they lead and collaborate with the team to assure stakeholders’ needs and expectations are achieved.Tremploy Inc. will be relocating to a newly established facility in 2023. The Business Development Officer will be an integral component in shaping how this space will be developed and utilized.Responsibilities:

  • Establishing long-range objectives with strategies and actions to achieve them
  • Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and team members
  • Providing guidance and direction, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance
  • Communicating with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external stakeholders
  • Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintaining them over time.
  • Maintaining and developing business relationships;
  • Preparing financial documents, reports, and budgets
  • Coordinating logistics or other business operations
  • Other duties as required
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma related fields or equivalent work experience
  • 5 year’s work experience in related areas and retail management experience would be an asset
  • Non-profit experience would be an asset
  • Team player with a strong social concern
  • Interpersonal communications skills, both written, and spoken
  • Relationship and network-building
  • Skilled at understanding and managing business development and sales pipeline
  • Experience writing reports and proposals
  • Excellent computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace
  • Satisfactory criminal record check to work with vulnerable populations
  • Must currently be able to work in Canada
