You might even see some of your future teammates!ABOUT THE POSITIONAt Andrews Senior Care, we have a collaborative health care model, with a philosophy focused on providing excellence in care to our residents and families. We provide health care at an assisted living level, along with nursing care. Andrews of Park West is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse who have a passion for Senior Care.How You’ll Spend Your Time

• Collaborate with RNs, RCWs and Caregivers to ensure the best care of residents.
• Supervises, delegates and evaluates the delivery of care ensuring the needs of residents are met
• Perform nursing interventions such as taking vital signs, applying aseptic techniques including sterile dressings, ensuring infection control, monitoring nutritional intake and conducting specimen collection
• Promote healthy living including physical and mental activity, healthy eating and resident engagement
• Administer medication to the residents
• Demonstrates accountability for practice using strategies such as providing rationale for decisions and actions, acknowledging errors, taking corrective action, recognizing own limitations and consulting with others as necessary
• Maintains standards of practice in keeping with provincial and national nursing association directions, guidelines and code of ethics

What You’ll Bring to the Team

• Currently a Licensed Practical Nurse with the Association of Registered Nurses of Prince Edward Island or any other province across Canada.
• The successful candidate will possess an excellent work ethic, proven ability to multi-task and communicate with residents in a pleasant manner at all times.
• Must also possess meticulous attention to detail and provide excellent and informed resident-centered care.
• Self motivated, career focused professional, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple demands and establishing work priorities and goals.
• Proficiency with venipuncture, catheter insertion, injections, etc. is required.
• Physical requirements include: Standing/walking for extended periods of time; push & pull up to 50 pounds; twist and bend
