The Employee shall be responsible for day-to-day maintenance and repair tasks relating to Red Sands Properties Inc.’s clients and residents. The Employee reports to Red Sands Properties Inc.’s Supervisor of Maintenance.Job Title: Maintenance WorkerHours: Monday-to-Friday, 8:00 am-4:00 pm, some weekends and evenings, as requiredStart Date: ASAPPay: $20/hour plus overtime opportunitiesJob type: Permanent with 3-month probation periodVacation: 2 weeks paid vacation or 4% vacation payLocation: Various locations across PEI, with Charlottetown and east being hubsJob duties: General maintenance and renovations skills such as framing, flooring, painting, dry walling, seam filling, etc.Basic Plumbing including changing of faucets, toilets and shower headsElectrical work such as: light fixtures, bulbs, switches and receptaclesPerform minor fixes such as broken locks, patching holes in walls, touch up paint and tenant turnover requirementsPerform scheduled maintenance tasks like checking gutters, oil tanks, sump pumps, etc. upon requestShovelling and salting walkways and stairs.Assist or lead in cleaning out units or excessive garbage buildup on propertiesPerforming garbage runsPicking up, delivering and setting up appliancesPainting and basic seam fillingAssist in building decks and basic carpentry workExperience needed: 3+ years of relevant handyman or carpentry experience is requiredRequirements: Must have valid driver’s licenseMust have a truck or van (will be paid mileage on all travel)Must provide a clean and current criminal record background checkOnly candidates demonstrating the experience and the requirements listed above on their resume will be considered for this position.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $20.00 per hourAdditional pay:
