Job Description

We can’t wait for you to help us tell them, as you share them with the people you know.As a Member Services Representative, you will be working as a team member in our inbound/outbound environment located at the Guardian. You will be responsible for providing quality customer service to our readers, potential readers, advertisers and internal customers.Our customer care department is open 7 days a week including holidays.   • Providing excellent customer service via telephone, email and in person walk-ins from current and potential members;
  • Conducting outbound calls to members or potential members for account renewals, member updates and sales calls;
  • Assisting members with one-call resolution by using all available resources;
  • Verifying and maintaining database records;
  • Booking classified ads, obituaries, processing payments and daily cash deposits;
  • Providing support for our digital products with first level technical issues on their account or services experienced;
  • Other duties as required.
Minimum qualifications:
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Computer Skills with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, mainly Excel
  • Ability to learn new software and type at least 35 WPM
  • Ability to multitask large work volumes in a fast pace working environment
  • Detail oriented and time management skills
