The School Bus Driver must also deal withpublic, school officials and children in a courteous and respectfulmanner. As a School Bus Driver you willhave a chance to make a difference in a child’s life, and maybe your own aswell.Bus – 59 Route includes Bonavista Dr., Stonington Bld., and Kinlock Rd., Georgetown Rd. and Keppoch area serving Glen Stewart, Stratford, Birchwood, Charlottetown Rural Schools.ALL ROUTES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGEQualificationsMinimumQualifications:‑ Grade12 high school diploma or GED;‑ A valid drivers license for at leastfive (5) years;‑ A valid Class 2A drivers license;‑ Successful completion of approved BusDriver Training program;‑ A Drivers Abstract for the last fiveyears;‑ Successful completion of First AidTraining, CPR Training is required;‑ Student Management Course (NonViolent Crisis Intervention) is required;‑ Proofof medical fitness on a form approved by the Department of Transportation andInfrastructure Renewal, Highway Safety Division;‑ Strong interpersonal andorganizational skills;‑ Demonstrated ability to readinstructions and write clearly;- Applicants must submit a criminal abstract and have no past or present criminal record which would be detrimental in working in an environment with children, youth and other adults; - Holding a valid Class 1A or 3A license and experience driving large vehicles is an asset;‑ Experience dealing withchildren/youth would be an asset.Please note: PSB Regulation: Bus drivers must provide secure and adequateparking, as approved by Transportation Supervisor and/or Coordinator. Bus parking shall not be more than eight (8)kilometers from the beginning of the bus route. The bus route will begin wherethe Transportation Supervisor and/or Coordinator approves the pickup of thefirst student. During the school day, buses are to be parked at schools unlessapproval has been granted for an alternative parking arrangement on theapproved form.
