Job Description

Linck Child, Youth and Family Supports (“Linck”) requires Child and Youth Support Worker(s). These are casual positions beginning as soon as possible.Hours of work will be in accordance with individual support and operational requirements. Hours of work will include daytime, afternoon, evening, night, weekend, and holiday hours as needed. The successful candidate(s) will assist youth to achieve goals, and improve personal capacities, enabling them to actively participate in all aspects of community life.Qualifications:

  • Early Childhood Education diploma, Developmental Services Worker diploma, Educational Assistant/Support diploma, or Child and Youth Care diploma;
  • Up to three (3) months related experience;
  • Computer and keyboarding skills, extensive use of word-processing programs;
  • Courtesy and tact required in explaining, exchanging information with clients and staff;
  • Valid certification in Standard First-aid;
  • A valid G driver’s license;
  • Use of a personal vehicle;
  • The ability to communicate in French is an asset;
  • Preference will be given to persons with a strong understanding and extensive experience working with other cultures, heritages and traditions; and
  • A commitment to developing the highest quality culturally-appropriate service possible for the various communities that we serve
