Job Description

Linck Child, Youthamp; Family Supports (“Linck”) requires a Youth and Family Engagement Adviser. This is a contract, part-time (28 hours per week) position beginning as soon as possible and ending June, 2025 (inclusive).Hours of work are:

  • Monday and Wednesday, 8:30am - 4:30pm.
  • Tuesday and Thursday, 10:00am - 6:00pm.
  • There may be a rare need for evening or weekend attendance if there is a community event.
This role will support the CK Youth Social; act as a liaison between the Youth and Family Engagement Consultant(s) and the Agency; provide support to the Youth and Family Engagement Advisory Committee(s); and other initiatives related to collecting feedback from stakeholders.Qualifications:
  • Childamp; Youth Worker diploma or relevant diploma in the Social Service Sector;
  • Experience working in mental health, child protection, or developmental services with children, youth and families is an asset;
  • The ability to communicate effectively with the public and staff in a pleasant, courteous, and professional manner;
  • Preference will be given to persons with a strong understanding and extensive experience working with other cultures, heritages and traditions;
  • A commitment to developing the highest quality culturally responsive service possible for the various communities that we serve;
  • Tact, diplomacy and human relations skills are required when handling contacts of a difficult or specialized nature and/or for resolutions of problems;
  • The ability to communicate in French is an asset; and
  • A valid driver’s license and use of a personal vehicle.
