Job Description

On behalf of our enterprise client in Vancouver Island, Ignite Technical Resources is seeking an Infrastructure Analyst to join our client #39;s team in Nanaimo on a full-time permanent basis.The Role: the successful candidate will be responsible for providing tier 3 support. You will have a strong mix of Windows System Administration and infrastructure skills as well as the ability to lead and mentor Tier 1/2 Support analysts. As part of a 5-person team, you will be working on network upgrades, project implementation, change planning, documentation, and operational tier 3 support.Requirements:

  • 3-4 years experience providing Tier 3 customer support.
  • Proven experience working in the enterprise level environment (at least 50+ servers and 300+ users).
  • Windows 2008-2016 Server deployment experience.
  • Office 365/Azure knowledge and some implementation experience.
  • Microsoft Active Directory (AD) expertise.
  • Experience implementing one or more of the following Citrix, VMware, Firewalls, Routing, Microsoft products, etc.
  • Good networking experience - proven ability to troubleshoot LAN/WAN.
  • Previous experience with Virtual Storage – VSAN, EqualLogic NetApp, etc.
  • Hyperconverged infrastructure experience.
  • Cisco Network Routingamp; VPN Connectivity Expertise.
  • Firewallamp; Network Security Expertise.
  • Understanding of Infrastructure as a Service and/or Platform as a Service is an advantage.
  • Understanding of Zero-trust policy is an advantage.
  • Small-scale project management experience.
