Job Description

The Wellington (Park Place Seniors Living) is looking to add a new Health Care Aide to join our team. The Health Care Aide will assist residents with all daily activities. These activities include everyday living, housekeeping, bathing and dressing, toileting, medication, mobility, and continence care.The ideal person for this position has the experience, compassion, and a solid understanding of all aspects of patient health care.Responsibilities:

  • Support daily activities – Ensure residents #39; safety and well-being are met by facilitating social interactions, therapeutic conversations, and secure environments. Observe the patients #39; medical health as well as their physical and mental responses. Provide written and verbal reports about the residents #39; condition and guidance to the supervising nurse.
  • Apply compliance knowledge – Demonstrate knowledge of all aspects of resident care by using a sensitive approach.
Requirements:
  • Registration on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with little to no supervision as well as work within a team.
