Job Posting: Prep Cook/ServerLocation: The Wellington Retirement ResidencePosition: Prep Cook/ServerType: Full-time/Part-timeReports to: Food Services SupervisorAbout Us:The Wellington Retirement Residence is a vibrant and caring community dedicated to providing exceptional living experiences for our residents. Our team is passionate about delivering high-quality service and delicious meals that enhance the daily lives of those who call Wellington home.Position Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Prep Cook/Server to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a strong work ethic, committed to maintaining our high standards of food preparation and service.Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing and cooking meals in accordance with dietary needs and preferences of our residents.
  • Ensure all meals are prepared with the highest quality, consistency, and presentation standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and serving areas.
  • Serve meals to residents in a warm and courteous manner.
  • Assist with inventory management and proper storage of food items.
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe and sanitary work environment.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure smooth operation of meal services.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in food preparation and/or serving is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor, with a genuine interest in working with seniors.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
