Forsite is actively looking for a Junior Forest Analyst with a general understanding of BC , AB, or ON forestry practices, with the ability to use analytical tools to support forest management decisions. You will use GIS tools (ArcPy, pandas), growth and yield tools (VDYP/TISPY/GYPSY/MIST), and Forest Estate Models (Patchworks) along with your forestry knowledge to provide focused, innovative and meaningful solutions to our clients.Potential project types would include forest carbon analysis, land base condition assessments, fibre supply analyses, forest management plans, economic assessments, old growth analysis, etc.WHAT YOU’LL NEED
