Wehelp people with developmental disabilities by facilitating community connections, family supports, employmentopportunities, and supportive housing options with a commitment to life-long learning, choice and self-determination.About the OpportunityAs a full-time Community Support Worker, you will work 35 hours per week at our community inclusion site inLadner. You will be actively engaging supported individuals to live a fulfilling and independent life. You are amotivated and personable individual with a passion to deliver person-centered supports. This means you couldbe helping an individual to discover more of their community, learn new life-skills such as cooking, physicalfitness activities, art classes, or seeking employment. You assist with their physical, social, emotional,educational and recreational needs. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Following an individual care plan, Developing monthly plans and facilitating activities based on client’s interests, Documenting activities and observations in the client’s file and communication log, Physically assist individuals with activities including swimming, walking, delivering newspapers,gardening and dancing. Must be physically healthy to aid in lifting and transferring of persons served and be able to providepersonal care including hygiene and toileting.
