Job Description

Our team is growing, and Marcon Metalfab (www.marconmetal.com) is hiring an experienced CNC Machinist Foreman to join our dynamic team based in Delta’s Tilbury Park. This position will join the team producing machined parts primarily on CNC and manual machining centers.Friday - Sunday5:15am - 5:45pm (12-Hour Shifts) A weekend premium of 4 hours is paid for completing an entire scheduled shift for the weekend.Job Description/Duties:

  • Set up and operate machine tools such as CNC, Manual Lathes, Milling machines, etc. to make components to specified tolerances and dimensions.
  • Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and sketches.
  • Use a variety of machinist’s hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
  • Knowledge of Haas and Fanuc controls is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new skills and follow written procedures.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail.
  • Good documentation and organization skills.
  • Clear communication written and spoken English.
  • Ability to lift over 50 pounds.
Requirements:
  • 5-10 years Foreman or Lead hand experience.
  • Knowledge in both CNC and Manual setups.
  • Computer skills including email composition and general knowledge of a PC.
  • Programming would be an asset (Mastercam).
  • Ability to read and create drawing to explain issues.
  • Self starter.
  • Must be confident to make judgement calls.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to read, write and explain instructions in a professional manner.
