Our casual CSW work shifts within a 24/7 work environment and earn a salarystarting between $21.63- $22.68 per hour, plus 10% in lieu of benefits.Who we are:Delta Community Living Society is a person-centered, progressive and impactful non-profitorganization. We do this by facilitating community connections, family supports,employment opportunities, and supportive housing options with a commitment to life-long learning,choice and self-determination.About The Opportunities:As a casual Community Support Worker, you will be actively engaging a supported individual to livea fulfilling and independent life. You are a motivated and personable individual with a passion todeliver person centered supports. This means you could be helping an individual to discover moreof their community, learn new life-skills such as cooking, physical fitness activities, art classes, orseeking employment.Ideal Candidate Will Possess:The ideal candidate will have transferrable-experience and/or education that supports working withdevelopmental or physical disabilities and behaviours with an understanding and practice of personcentered thinking. You will also have the ability to create a meaningful routine (i.e. morning care,shopping, cooking, exercising, etc) and deliver person-centered support that supportsindependence vs. creating dependence. You must have an ability to follow health care plans, andcomplete daily documentation, as well as implement personal protocols, schedules, and activities.The ideal candidate must have their Class 5 BC Drivers License, have a willingness to obtain a Class4 within 6 months, and have a clean drivers abstract.
