We are looking for a class 1 truck driver who will be responsible for moving trailers between the yard and sometimes to clients.Responsibilities & DutiesPerform pre-trip/post-trip inspection of the roll-off truck and report any defects or damages to immediate supervisor or foremanOperate roll-off truck in a safe manner and in accordance with all federal transport laws and policiesEnsure that no damages are made to the roll-off truck and roll-off binsEnsure that every roll-off bin being transported are secured and will not cause any spillover of materials along the way to and from the dumpsiteDump bins safely in accordance with dumpsite safety policiesReport immediately to immediate supervisor or foreman any incidents/accidents that may happen during the operation of the roll-off truckEnsure that every bin that’s being picked-up/dumped are scaled properly (scaled-in/scaled-out)Ensure that all paperwork required are filled-up and submitted to the immediate supervisor at the end of every shift – paperworkReport immediately any delays in transporting the roll-off bins to immediate supervisor or foremanPerform regular maintenance of roll-off truck (topping off fluids, greasing)Ensure that roll-off truck is clean inside and out at the end of the daily shift schedulePerform other tasks as may be required by immediate supervisor or foremanSkills and qualificationsCompletion of high schoolLicenses - class 1 license (both automatic and manual)Experience – more than 6 months of truck drivingAbility to drive roll-off trucks in tight spacesPersonal characteristics (patience, positive attitude towards work, self-confident, trustworthy)Able to communicate in EnglishAble to lift up to 50 lbsWhat we offer:Bonus $400 after 1080 hours worked (approx. 6 months) and another $400 (approx. 12 months)Referral bonusFull-Time and Long-Term EmploymentGroup Benefits (such as Dental & Healthcare) and RRSP's after 3 monthsEmployee personal and professional developmentPersonalized trainingStrong HR supportFree parking spaceDynamic work environmentDiverse culture: opportunity to learn from different backgroundsThe bus stop is 5 minutes awayWe thank all applicants for their interest in this role, but unfortunately only those considered for the interview will be contacted.Recruiters, please don't contactCOVID-19 considerations:It is advised if you are invited for an Interview please wear your Mask as It is mandatory, no applicant is allowed without that.
