Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this position is responsible for the accuracy, consolidation and completeness of all shipping orders. This role requires previous supervisory experience for a global manufacturing company with an energetic personality, high attention to detail, strong work ethic, continuous improvement, can-do attitude, and an ability to work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate must be able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines in a high paced environment while maintaining calm spirit under pressure.YOUR ROLE

• Manage the plant shipping schedules and communicate any changes to Project Managers, After Sales, Customer Service and Planning department in a timely fashion.
• Work closely with Planning department to ensure on-time delivery for projects and sales orders.
• Coordinate and plan the consolidation, packaging and loading of Finished Goods, external orders and parts from inventory.
• Lead the packaging team of 2 people.
• Develop a process to ensure the accuracy of shipments and be responsible for Finished Goods inventory and its locations.
• Verify that goods are packaged and labeled according to global shipping standards and regulations whilst adhering to the company’s processes and marking system.
• Ensure the Packaging Team confirms measurements & weights of packaged goods and provides the required number and type of load equipment (container, truck, courier).
• Prepare accurate load plans prior to shipping and confirm loading schedules with transport providers.
• Generate packing list for all shipments, local and international.
• Provide support for commercial documentation for international parcel shipments.
• Responsible for the management of staged POs (Cross dock for consolidation).
• Action the “Picked not Shipped” report in collaboration with the Inventory Lead.
• Develop a process for Pick & Pack parts.
• Support and execute best practices in accordance with WhiteWater objectives and goals.
• Respect for people with communication, consideration and collaboration.
• Responsible for safety of the department, ensure best practices are followed.
• Execute responsibilities according to lawful and ethical standards.

YOU BRING

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Shipping Supervisor for a global manufacturing company.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

• Has previous experience with International Logistics and Manufacturing environment.
• Must have exposure to cross-border and International shipping (import/export) involving ground, ocean, and air mode of transport.

• Familiarity with customs regulations and requirements, global packaging & marking regulations, and best practices.
• Working experience with classification of goods within the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS).

• Dangerous Goods Certification is not a must, however, willingness to obtain certification is necessary for the role.
• Working knowledge of FedEx or DHL software is an asset.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Forklift license can be a plus but not a requirement.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills required

• Ability to demonstrate attention to detail, thoroughness and accuracy.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Previous experience with D365 would be an asset.
