Job Description

Merlin Plastics is looking for a Lubricant and Plant Technician.Merlin Plastics is a processor of post-consumer and post-industrial plastics. We are seeking a Lubrication & Plant Technician to work at our plastics recycling company as part of the engineering and maintenance team.Responsibilities:

  • Perform the scheduled lubrication program for greasing of bearings, checking the condition of oil. Completed tasks is filled out on a report and submitted to the plant manager and maintenance planner.
  • Use of tools and equipment for routine lubrication functions.
  • Inspect and report condition of the bearings and machineries. For example, vibration, noise, temperature, dust build-up, etc.
  • Inspects and maintains oil levels in all machinery to meet Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications.
  • Refill, replace and adjust auto lubricating systems with oil/grease
  • Work with the maintenance planner to maintain and update the lubrication schedules and routes.
  • Participate in safety meetings with maintenance team and plant manager.
  • Perform light duties assigned by the plant manager to continue effective operations.
Experience:
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Previous lubrication experience following a preventative maintenance program.
  • Capability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Demonstrated abilities to be proactive and receptive to short/long term maintenance.
  • Attention to detail, strong work ethic and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
