Job Description

We are Hiring for Full-Time Permanent Maintenance Technician position.Employer:PET Processing Inc is an innovative, recycler and processor of post-consumer and post-industrial plastics. Our mission is a dedication to providing environmental recycling services that areJOB DESCRIPTIONPET Processing Inc is currently seeking individuals with a strong work ethic, and good problem-solving skills to join our Maintenance team. For the right candidate this is a career opportunity with room for growth and advancement. Must be able to work 40 hours a week. You may be asked to work additional hours beyond regular hours, when business needs require it, and will need to be flexible with availability.Compensation: $30- $35 / hour, DOEBenefits: Group benefits (Basic Life Insurance, AD&D, Health & dental, Long-Term Disability and RRSP’s after three months)MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESResponsibilities shall include:

  • Install and dismantle machinery and equipment according to plans which involves working at heights, climbing ladders and using mobile equipment.
  • Operate mobile equipment used in the repair, installation or fabrication of equipment including but not limited to drills, grinders, hammers, wrenches, blow torches and power tools.
  • Good fabrication and welding skills,
  • Able to assemble equipment;
  • Able to read blueprint;
  • Experience with aligning equipment, compressed air, pneumatic equipment, conveyor and augur is an asset.
  • Experience with pumps and hydraulic is an asset.
  • Repair machinery and perform preventive maintenance
  • Troubleshoot breakdowns
REQUIREMENTS
  • Five years of work experience in industrial maintenance
  • Secondary education and a mechanical course
  • Must be able to work 40 hours a week. Should be flexible to do over-time if required.
  • Must be well organized and efficient in performing all assigned tasks.
  • Strong analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety in the workplace.
  • Good rigging skills and forklift driving skills.
  • Self-motivated with results driven approach.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Focused with good attention to detail and quality.
  • Safety behaviors, work ethic and initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills in English
