Job Description

Our clientI is looking for material handlers to join their team! They specialize in high performance structural insulated panels for use as walls, roofs, and floors.In this opportunity you will load/unload panels for lumbar install & foam relief and sheets of plywood and foam cores for the press operator. In addition, you will also be responsible for dumping garbage bins, move scrap, and assist in production & shipping as required.Day Shift = Monday to FridayTime: 6:00 AM-2:15 PMWage: $20.99/hour to startLocation: Annacis Island, BCFull-Time/ Permanent Role PotentialIf you are interested in the Material Handler role on Annacis Island, BC or would like to learn more about other opportunities we have, please send us your resume or refer a friend today!Advantages

Responsibilities
  • Safe and responsible forklift operation ; loading/unloading
  • Safely operate powered tooling (chop saw, table saw, reciprocating saw, lumber cutting machine, planer, nail guns, etc.) as required
  • Unload and inspect to ensure compliance and maintain records as required
  • Transfer panels and other materials
  • Perform shipping duties as required
  • Capable of general labour as required
Qualifications
  • Previous forklift experience is required
  • Previous experience in construction industry using chop saw, table saw, nail guns, etc an asset
  • Experienced in using tape measures
  • Physically capable of performing manual labour
  • Ability to interpret shop drawings; translating angles/measurements to cut
  • Good English speaking/understanding
  • Good math and reading skills
  • Previous experience in carpentry/construction is an asset
