July 12, 2022| EXTERNAL/INTERNAL JOB POSTINGCOMPETITION NO. 22-085Position: Program Coordinator – Full-Time 40hrs (Wednesday – Sunday 3pm-11pm)Location: Sources Chestnut House – DeltaTHIS POSITION IS OPEN TO ALL QUALIFIED APPLICANTS AND REQUIRES UNION MEMBERSHIP.Located in Ladner, the Program Coordinator at Chestnut House contributes to a highly organized, team oriented, and dynamic work environment that supports clients who have Autism Spectrum Disorder in residential and community settings. Staff engages in daily recreation and vocation in the community with residents. Residents are active, verbal, mobile, and highly involved in the community. Positive support and engagement through conversation, games, and out-trips, special events, sports, to name a few, are routine. The Program Coordinator has a leadership role in the ongoing planning, evaluation, and implementation of program and client goals.About SourcesSOURCES is a community-based non-profit organization that has been providing support, encouragement, and hope for individuals and families in White Rock, Surrey, Delta, Langley, Prince George, and Parksville for 40 years. Our goal is to foster independence, community integration, and social participation. The Residential Care Worker plays a key role in this project.Program Coordinator Responsibilities:

    • Assisting residents in all aspects of daily living (i.e. personal care, appointments, etc)
    • Coordinating staff, client, and household activities and procedures, including cleaning, form completion, procedure review, office setup and functions.
    • Online reporting both quarterly and daily and coordinating review of reporting habits.
    • Following individual client service plans and participate in the on-going review and improvement of such plans
    • Following client budget; adhere to spending limits and record expenses as well as complete expense reimbursement forms
    • Developing a supportive rapport with clients and actively seeking out new opportunities for clients that relate directly to their goals and objectives
    • Working constructively as part of a team with all colleagues.
    • Participate fully in walking, biking, sports, and a wide variety of recreation and leisure activities.
Qualifications:
    • Minimum of 3 years’ post-secondary education, preferably in behavioural sciences, community/social services or equivalent, AND minimum of 1 year recent experience working with people with developmental disabilities and/or behavioural challenges.
    • 2 years recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Ability to take direction and work cohesively as a member of a team. Communicates effectively to ensure goals are achieved efficiently and issues addressed promptly.
    • Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative and strong problem solving skills.
    • Ability to demonstrate competency in a leadership position, including overseeing and administering Chestnut House services in the absence of the Program Manager, or as assigned.
    • Ability to fulfill assigned Residential Care Worker job responsibilities in addition to assigned Program Coordinator duties as per job description.
    • All employment requirements (Sources training courses, criminal record check/CPR, class 5 driver’s license, TB assessment, Code of Ethics, proof of SIN card, Immunization form) must be valid and current.
    • Ability to use a word processor (Word for Windows) to produce concise, clear, professional written data and reports and use email, including Outlook and Sharevision, for regular communication.
    • Experience working effectively with clients who can be physically aggressive.
    • Able to contribute to and follow behaviour and support plans with consistency.
    • Ability to transport (using program vehicles) and support clients in the community.
    • Must be fully vaccinated
