Job Description

Warehouse Shipper/Receiver St. Jeans Cannery and Smokehouse Canadas leading producer of sustainable canned seafood are hiring. We would love to have you as part of our team! Our busiest time of year is just around the corner and as we prepare for the summer sport fish season our shipping receiving warehouse in (_Tilbury) is hiring full time Warehouse Forklift/Narrow Isle Shipper / Receiver._Warehouse Forklift/Narrow Isle Shipper / ReceiverDescription of Duties, Set up (organize) the pick based on inventory location reports in warehouse, Select stock according to order sheet (picking and packing instructions), Accurately record quantities selected (or shorted), Retrieve inventory using various warehouse equipment walkie, pallet jack, forklift and narrow isle reach truck., Build pallets of selected stock while observing standards for height, weight, stability (breaking point), and security of product with shrink wrap., Advise Replenishers of inventory discrepancies., Receiving freight according to company policies maintaining accurate written paperwork., Maintains the integrity of products by ensuring they are stored at appropriate temperatures and reports any variances., Operate equipment safely and ensure equipment is in proper working order before each shift., Perform assigned tasks to maintain a clean and safe working environment, i.e., sweeping, clean up cardboard, etc., Some pickups and deliveries in company van may be required., Perform other duties as required.Job Requirements:, Be at least 19 years of age, Be able to legally work in Canada, Be eligible to work up to full time hours if offered, Have a class 5 Licence, Be in good physical condition, Be able to identify sequences of numbers (essential), Good communication skills; must be able to speak, read, and write English., Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a warehouse., Must be able to lift up to 50lbs, A forklift certificate is preferred. (Training on site if required), Narrow isle certificate is preferred (Training on site if required), Strong understanding of inventory control and asset management is a must.Be able to lift cases to various heights while assembling orders for our customers (core component of the position and is in accordance with WorkSafe regulations)Reference ID: WARE2Expected start date: 2021-05-24Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $16.95-$23.00 per hourAdditional pay:
