Job Description

Our team is growing, and Marcon Metalfab (www.marconmetal.com) is hiring a Shipper/Receiver to join our dynamic team based in Delta’s Tilbury Park.For over 30 years, Marcon Metalfab has supplied custom fabricated steel and rubber products required for infrastructure, and other projects in the transportation, building construction, utilities, mining, marine, oil, and gas sectors. Equipped with leading manufacturing technologies that allow for efficient handling and processing of materials, Marcon’s 22,000 square foot facility can support even the largest fabrication projects.Coupled with an unconditional commitment to providing expert customer service and a rigorous quality management system, Marcon consistently delivers better quality products within tight time frames at prices that are competitive within any industry.We have many long-serving employees here, competitive wages, and excellent benefits. Some places say they have a family atmosphere, but it is truly the case here at Marcon.We are located in Tilbury Industrial Park in Delta BC, with four ways to get here – the Massey Tunnel, Alex Fraser Bridge, South Fraser Perimeter Rd., and Hwy 99.About the Position:Day Shift: Mondays to Fridays (7:30AM to 4:00PM or 9:00AM to 5:30PM).Responsibilities:

  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
  • Wrap skids.
  • Tagging and maintaining merchandise.
  • Monitoring and counting stock and hardware.
  • Sorting and stacking goods into specific zones.
  • Accurate physical and electronic receiving of material.
  • Maintaining a safe and organized work environment, where safety is of the highest importance.
Requirements:
  • Ability to use a pallet jack and independently lift 50 – 100 lbs.
  • Clear communication, written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work on your feet all day.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment requiring multi-tasking and prioritizing.
  • Ability to work independently and in conjunction with other team members.
  • Forklift experience is an asset.
  • Steel industry or warehouse experience is an asset.
  • Shipping/receiving experience is an asset.
