Job Description

Windows Systems Administrator – Contract position in Vancouver:On behalf of our enterprise client in Vancouver, Ignite Technical Resources is seeking a Windows Systems Administrator to join our clients team on a full-time permanent basis.The successful candidate will be responsible for providing tier 1-3 support. You will have a strong mix of Windows System Administration and infrastructure skills. As part of a 5-person/small team you will be working on network upgrades, project implementation, change planning, documentation, and operational tier 3 support.Requirements:

  • 3-4 years experience in an IT Administration role as well as providing Tier 3 customer support.
  • Proven experience working in a multi-site enterprise-level environment (at least 50+ servers and 300+ users).
  • Windows 2008-2019 Server and Windows 10-11 client deployment and maintenance experience.
  • Office 365/Teams/Azure knowledge and administration, with some implementation experience
  • Microsoft Active Directory (AD) expertise.
  • Experience implementing and supporting one or more of the following Remote Desktop, Veeam, Zscaler, VMware, Firewalls, Routing, Microsoft products, etc.
  • Good networking experience - proven ability to troubleshoot LAN/WAN.
  • Hyper converged infrastructure experience is desirable.
  • Cisco/Fortigate Network Routing & VPN Connectivity knowledge.
  • Firewall & Network Security knowledge.
  • Experience with enterprise wireless infrastructure and Ubiquiti experience is desirable.
  • Experience with iOS mobile devices such as iPods, iPhones, and iPads.
  • Skilled at working within a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Experience documenting and maintaining configuration and process information.
Nice-to-have:
  • Understanding Infrastructure as a Service and/or Platform as s Service is an advantage.
  • Understanding of Zero-trust policy is an advantage.
  • Small-scale project management experience.
  • Remote support.
  • Monitoring.
  • Industrial Experience.
    • Food/Ag
    • Food Safety and networked industrial equipment.
    • 24x7 environment.
