Responsibilities:Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a Bilingual Bid Specialist in our Dollard-Des Ormeaux (DDO) location.This position is accountable for preparation of quotations for product/project orders while driving a high level of customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will be able to analyze the needs of the customer, and deliver a solution based on the customer’s application requirements.Great people make Schneider Electric a great company.What do you get to do in this position

• Review RFQ’s for clarity of request, suitability for Schneider Electric product offering, risk assessment, profitability, and time given to complete quotations.
• Based on the above criteria, along with Transaction Team Supervisor, team’s loading, and with input from the sales team, to decide to bid (or not).
• Match products to customer specifications and drawings by demonstrating knowledge of products.
• Reviews customer specifications/drawings to ensure quote is technically compatible and competitive.
• Understands, analyzes, documents, and communicates contractual and technical terms and conditions relative to the company standard.
• Maintains a current understanding of quote strategies and market conditions.
• Identify and promote opportunities to improve the quotation process and measure effectiveness.
• Assists outside sales representatives in the preparation of customer presentations related to the quote, including comments on exceptions and built in value

• Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Proven quotation experience (2-4 years) in the Electrical Industry.
• A track record in delivering quotes involving electrical distribution equipment and/or industrial automation systems will be given preference.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Detailed oriented and strong proof reading and communication skills both written and verbal.
• Team oriented, proactive to help and care for the other member of the group.
• Action oriented, proactive in prioritizing own workload.
• General instructions will be provided, but is expected to perform independently.
• Computer skills: MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point) / MS Projects.
• Bilingual required (English / French).
