Job Description

Responsibilities:This position is responsible for providing technical customer support for Schneider Electric`s installed base of Energy and Power Automation control systems. They are responsible for configuration, validation, site installation, system troubleshooting for specialized automation systems, controllers, SCADA software packages and other industrial communication network components.The person on this role is expected to participate in all stages of a typical automation project. For example: Configuration of Digital Automation solutions, performing Factory Acceptances Test, Commissioning, Customer Training, and post-sale support.What will you do

  • Provide technical support on Schneider products, Energy Management & Power Automation solutions, and training to customers.
  • Perform system demonstration for Factory acceptance test with customer representatives.
  • Perform commissioning of Power Monitoring and Automation Systems. It might be required to troubleshoot systems on already installed Power Monitoring or SCADA systems at customer`s premises.
  • Remain updated of the latest technological developments within Schneider`s Automation and Energy Management offers to identify service opportunities.
  • Perform routine maintenance verifications on power meters, energy servers, HMI, network components, controllers, etc.
  • Be able to identify system performance issues, obsolescence of equipment and propose component upgrade paths minimizing disturbances to client`s operations.
  • To remain available to provide quick support response to critical mission systems 24/7.
What qualifications will make you successful
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Automation Engineering. or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience working with Industrial Automation systems or electrical substations (HMI, PLC, industrial networks) for at least 3 years is preferred.
  • Language proficiency: English (Professional), French (Professional) both oral and written required
  • Driver license: Required.
  • Availability for travel: As required.
  • Required to hold a Canadian citizenship or permanent residency in Canada.
  • Certifications: Not required.
  • Based in Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Montreal, Qc.
