Reporting to the Liquor Store Manager, the Liquor Store Clerk is responsible for delivering world-class customer service. Duties include receiving merchandise, stocking products, cleaning shelves, helping customers, operating the register, merchandising, displaying products, making end caps displays, and maintaining department cleanliness and housekeeping standards.Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age to work in the Liquor Store environment; must have Pro-Serve or be able to obtain within 30 days. Previous liquor retail experience, strong product knowledge, and knowledge of provincial liquor regulations are preferred. Candidates should possess equivalent retail experience with cash handling or cashier experience.Basic knowledge of Word, Excel, and OutlookUnderstanding of basic mathematic principlesAble to operate POS system as well as understanding credit and debit proceduresAbility to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all timesPositive attitude with a willingness to learnRepetitive physical labour required; must be able to lift to 50 lbs. within safe work guidelinesAvailability: Evenings and weekendsInternal candidates who apply by Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at 5:00 pm will be given first consideration, based on seniority, ability, and fitness to perform the work satisfactorily.
