Job Description

Central Alberta Co-op is here to serve our members and customers with products and services that help build, feed, and fuel individuals and communities. We live where you live, work where you work, and help grow the economy right here.We are currently looking for a full-time Food Manager at our Eckville Food Store. As the Food Manager, you are reporting to the Division Manager and will be responsible for the organization, direction, and coordination of the Eckville Food Store to achieve budgeted goals.Full-time: 40 hours/week.Availability requirements: Weekdays and weekends - early mornings, days, and evenings.Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, administer and be responsible for sales, margin, expenses, inventory and SPEH of all the food stores,
  • Ensure food managers adhere to established standards, including safe food handling & sanitation, merchandising, signage, staff appearance housekeeping, health and safety and loss prevention,
  • Assist and lead in marketing efforts, set advertising standards and create innovative marketing plans,
  • Asses the food division performance, solving customers issues and allocating resources,
  • Ensure proper appearance of all facilities, equipment, and image checklist,
  • Assist and lead in the preparation of annual business plans and budget and ensure all paperwork is done timely, accurately and meets policies and procedures,
  • Keep familiar and up to date with current and new products on the market,
  • Other duties as required by the Division Manager.
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 year of management experience,
  • Business related education would be an asset,
  • Coaching and training skills,
  • Great attention to detail,
  • Excellent leadership skills,
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills,
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs.
