Job Description

Central Alberta Co-op is here to serve our members and customers with products and services that help build, feed, and fuel individuals and communities. We live where you live, work where you work and help grow the economy right here.Our Eckville Food Store is looking for 2 part-time Grocery Clerks to join our team.Part-time: 24 - 36 hours/week. Benefit eligible after 3 months.Availability requirements: Weekdays and weekends - mornings (7:00 AM start), afternoons and evenings (up to 7:00 PM).Responsibilities:

  • Unload grocery shipments,
  • Receive, stock, and face merchandise,
  • Greet customers and respond to customer questions,
  • Be alert for unauthorized removal of merchandise,
  • Ensure a clean and safe work environment,
  • Other duties as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications:
  • Must have extensive produce experience,
  • Excellent communication skills,
  • Attention to detail and quality,
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment,
  • Some heavy lifting is required (up to 50 lbs.),
  • Must be over the age of 14 (Employment Standards requires a permit to employ a person age 14 or under; therefore, disclosure is required).
