Job Description

Translational Research in Oncology (TRIO) is a global academic clinical research organization dedicated to advancing translational cancer research in the clinical trial setting. Our passionate team is committed to providing cancer treatments of the future to the world of today.TRIO is looking for a Bilingual Intermediate Account, internally referred to as Financial Project Analyst, to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Director Finance, this position will be hybrid-based.This will be a defined term, full-time contract position for approximately 13 months to cover a Maternity Leave. This position has a projected start date of January 1, 2024.Responsibilities:

  • Manage and communicate the financial status of ongoing clinical trials including revenue and expense accruals, forecasting, and metrics and reports generation
  • Analysis, coordination and review of financial transactions related to clinical trials such as investigator and third party payments and invoices
  • Function as the liaison between the Clinical Operations teams and the Finance team
  • Become a member of the clinical trial team for all trials under their responsibility and participate in team meetings to ensure all financial matters are considered during the conduct of the trial
  • Educate the trial team on the particular budgetary aspects of the trial
  • Manage and maintain budgetary tools and systems
  • Identify activities not falling within budget in a timely manner and work with the trial team to identify causes and develop remediation plans
  • Lead the development of any required change orders in a timely manner
  • Provide support and expertise to Junior Financial Analyst, staff and team members across the organization
  • Ensure data-driven, evidence-based planning and decision-making are embedded in TRIO’s practices
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (accounting, finance, business) is required
  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant work experience, preferably within a complex project-based organization
  • Fluent in French and English
  • Accounting designation or financial certification considered an asset
  • Knowledge and experience with Netsuite accounting software is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively convey and explain information, motivate, and influence others, and encourage trust among all team members
  • Excellent priority and time management skills to manage a variety of diverse responsibilities
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Proficiency with accounting software packages
  • Ability to lead and contribute to a collaborative team-based environment
  • Ability to adapt to a variety of competing needs and priorities
