Description: The University of Alberta, Faculty of Medicineamp; Dentistry, Department of Medicine, Division of Neurology in partnership with Alberta Health Services, invites applications for a Neurologist with Multiple Sclerosis expertiseto be based at the University of Alberta Hospital.Located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, the Faculty has been internationally recognized as among the world’s top 50 medical schools and as one of Canada’s premier health-education institutions.The University is currently home to more than 38,000 students with more than 15,000 faculty and staff.Key accountabilities of the MS Neurologist will include but will not be limited to fair and equitable service in acute neurology inpatient services and night call, ambulatory service in the MS Program, education of undergraduate medicine, postgraduate medical trainees and fellows.As this position requires significant research activity, primary supervision of graduate students and participation on graduate student committees is required.All research activities will be assessed according to the DOM Research Grid.The successful candidate will be offered a contingent tenured or tenure-track appointment in the Department of Medicine, with the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor, which is in accordance with the University of Alberta Faculty Agreement and offers a comprehensive benefits package.Interested candidates are asked to submit online a letter of intent and curriculum vitae outlining their education, research experience, publications, presentations, peer reviewed grants or industry sponsored clinical trial experience along with three letters of reference.
