Job Description

Do you want to help take care of the seniors in our community Do you enjoy serving food and working in a team Are you a diligent, compassionate, and positive individual If so, we’d like to speak to you about this exciting opportunity with our client in Edmonton.   • Assist in the preparation and serving of meals, tea, coffee, cereal, toast, etc.
  • Ensure that proper diets are given to the correct residents.
  • Monitor eating habits for the welfare of guests.
  • Assist guests with eating (cutting meat, cracking eggs, etc.)
  • Assist cook as required.
  • Clean dinnerware, equipment, and dining/kitchen area thoroughly.
  • Garbage disposal as required.
Requirements:
  • Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written).
  • High degree of concern for the quality of care for residents.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, stretching, and lifting heavy objects.
  • Possesses or is willing to acquire Level 1 Food Safety Certification.
  • Positive attitude and friendly demeanor toward guests and staff.
  • Patient, flexible, and enjoy keeping busy between meal service.
  • Must be agreeable to a criminal background check as part of employment.
  • Must be fully vaccinated for Covid-19 as well as current flu vaccine.
