We’ve got what you’re looking for.Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Intern-Student / Social Media Coordinator to join our team!What You #39;ll Be Doing:Social Media monitoring and implementation of Strategy (to be approved by Comm Manager, Social Media Lead, and Use City Templates)Support the Communication team in its daily functions and attend events and meetings away from the office when requiredAssist the Social Media Lead in developing engaging content for Marigold’s social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube)Social Media Tactics, Monitoring and Coordination (to be approved by the City Using City Templates)Video editing and production assistance - developing content for social media platforms Create summaries of completed, ongoing and planned social media communications activities, and plans for consideration, discussion and comment by the groupSupport taking project progress photos on siteMonitor phone line and email for inquiries and coordinate with comm manager and social media lead for social media responsesDirect media inquiries Comm Manageramp; Social Media LeadDraft response to inquiries and feedback related to the day-to-day Design and Construction of the Project that are received through social media accounts as soon as possible and no later than 24 hours after they are received.Identify as soon as possible any issues related to the overall Project that are identified by third parties and directed to our social media platforms.Post City messaging in response to inquiries or feedback as soon as possible and no later than 2 business days after they are receivedSupport the City’s communications efforts by sharing City-developed Project-related social media posts on our social media channels as directed by the City.Photography and video coordinationCoordinate videos, photos, artists renderings, promotional material, booth for events and other pop-up style events, display boards, paid print and digital advertisements, mail outs, postcardsAssist Comm with approved materials using social media tools to ensure stakeholders are included.Administrative duties include, but are not limited to: scheduling meetings, updating website content, drafting meeting minutes, writing public notices, responding to public calls and providing holiday coverage for other members of the communications team.What Required Skills You #39;ll Bring:Strong writing and editing skills that will enable the development of engaging or compelling content. Experience with photography and videography for social media platforms (Instagram Reels)Ability to derive language, tone, and messaging unique to the stakeholdersAdvanced level working ability with Microsoft Office productsKnowledgeable about the various platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.) for creation of relevant content and interactive media experiences that are appropriateUp-to-speed with changing updates, tools, rules, and algorithms to create an active social media strategy.Understand the urgency of responding to audience in a swift and helpful manner.Metric-driven to determine what tactics are most effective and where improvements are required.Flexibility / Adaptability to respond with ease to changing dynamics of the role.Studying in one of the following: Business, Communications, Public Relations or Marketing preferredEVLWMinimum Clearance Required to Start:Not Applicable/NoneThis position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.For more than 75 years, our experts have designed and delivered the critical infrastructure that connects and protects communities around the world.
