Managing a 24/7/365 contact center for Work Alone Monitoring services for GoA, Alberta Health Services and Community Peace Officers across the province Providing fleet and employee safety centric support to ministry programs across the province in a timely manner, working within the fleet management framework to support ministries and department programs as mandated or required. The effective implementation and administration of ELD/GPS related software administered according to industry best practices. Initiating and supporting interactions with internal and external stakeholders, thereby influencing the direction of key program initiatives through effective communication strategies. Managing existing contracts and responsible for developing and evaluating Request for Proposals (RFP’s) for new contracts. Developing and executing implementation plans for new initiatives or systems to drive continuous improvement in the organization. Overseeing staffing and recruiting required to maintain Fleet and Employee Safety Office operations. Providing input and direction on future driver and employee training initiatives including planning, development, and implementation. Liaising with Risk Management and Insurance (RMI) on vehicle accident/damage claims and incidents. Developing, implementing, and leading a cross ministry driver management committee to update on initiatives related to driver and employee safety. Reviewing and recommending action on drivers that have significant demerits related to their driver abstracts. Continually improving Occupational Health and Safety (OH amp;S) performance through the promotion of a culture supporting hazard assessment, risk management, incident identification and investigation, reporting and improvement of compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and safe work practices. Providing leadership and support to staff, contracted vendors, safety contacts and drivers in GOA ministries/departments in an environment of significant change and innovation. Maintaining effective consultative relationships and partnerships with senior management, ministry/departments, and clients.Role ContinuedTo be successful in this role you should demonstrate:The leadership skills needed to mentor and develop a new and evolving team. Related experience or education may be considered as an equivalency on a one for one basis.Preference will be given to the following:Project Manager Certificate (PMC) Experience building teams. Leadership experience in a call center environment Experience with work alone monitoring operations and software systems. Experience/knowledge in working with vehicle telematics. Knowledge of the National Safety Code and vehicle/driver relevant legislation. Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety regulations Equivalencies:High School Diploma and 8 years related experience. One-year certificate and 7 years related experience. Two-year diploma and 6 years experience Bachelor’s degree and 4 years related experience.
