Job Description

PeopleSoft Functional Analyst Our Edmonton client is looking for a Functional Analyst with PeopleSoft working experience on a contract or permanent basis position.Your success will be defined by your ability to:Build and maintain designated PeopleSoft tables for daily functionality and annual updates.Conduct first-stage investigations into issues raised by staff and/or students, collecting relevant information and, based on functional knowledge of the system, determine the solution and/or document the problem for follow-up by the production support provider.Design and implement an interim solution when an immediate fix is not possible.Provide day-to-day expert advice and support to function areas, assisting with Service Desk inquiries related to PeopleSoft and related software, and updating Knowledge Base articles.Create documentation of new processes, or provide expertise in the revision and maintenance of current manuals for staff.Participate in PeopleSoft upgrades (PeopleTools, patches and fixes, new version upgrades) and development of new modules.Analyze the impact of new functionality on existing business processes and identify opportunities for functional enhancements and determine strategies on existing customization.Manage and test regulation and legislative requirement changes.Create functionality analysis documents for each module on project sizing and scope.Prepare testing strategies for various types of user acceptance testing (UAT) such as Patches and Fixes, PeopleTools upgrades, change requests, and PeopleSoft version upgrades.Investigate and analyze requests to determine expected outcomes, business requirements, and the best method for generating and accessing the information.Work with Business users to define report requirements in a variety of formats including spreadsheets, graphs, charts, flat files, and Word merge documents.Design, develop, share, and maintain report solutions using a variety of tools including PeopleSoft Query, SQL, Power BI, Crystal, Org Chart Platinum, etc., and using data from peripheral software.Consult with business teams on the selection, application, and implementation of metrics.Take ownership of and ensure integrity of data through regular audits; troubleshoot irregularities; work with Business teams to research and correct discrepancies.Your strengths include:A related post-secondary diploma; a related Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred.A related certification in business analysis or project management3+ years’ of experience in a functional or business analyst position or performing duties related to this position in a technical capacity.Proficient Knowledge of PSQuery, PeopleTools PeopleCode, SQR, XML, SQL, web page development tools, and productivity software products (Microsoft Office, 365, Adobe).Experience in a post-secondary setting is an asset.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to build relationships and support non-technical users.Experience in project management.Analytical skills.If you are interested in this role and meet the above criteria, please submit your resume, in Word format, directly to Gary Gill at gary.gill@rpinc.caRecruitment Partners Inc. is an Alberta-based, Alberta-focused recruitment firm.
