Job Description

Job DescriptionAs a member of the National Home and Auto Sales Team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Quotingamp; selling personal insurance products by establishing contact with new client leads generated through a multitude of sources, developing relationships with prospects, answering incoming communications, following-up on expiry date lists, re-quoting prospects from previous yearsamp; cancelled files, and contacting leads assigned to you.
  • Identifying opportunities to sell additional lines of business in our well-established client base then contacting the client to present the offer.
  • Creating a trusting environment that fosters referrals, new sales opportunities, and retention of existing business.
  • Actively participating within the sales team and independently to continuously contribute to overall business improvement.
  • Actively owning and resolving all customer inquiries, while ensuring the customers efforts are minimized.
  • Accurately processing account changes when required, maintaining complete customer documentation, preparing correspondence, and documenting files for follow up.
  • Tackling complex insurance-related cases, creatively utilizing all available resources until full resolution is met.
  • Maintaining a current EPIC base and promptly following up on all client communications. Orbit generates a large volume of leads for our sales representatives.
  • Maintaining an accurate log of quotes completed, sales completed, days worked and any other measurements pertaining to monthly reporting requirements.
  • Keeping up to date on company underwriting guidelines and changing markets. We primarily broker with Aviva, Intact, Economicalamp; Pembridge, along with a handful of specialty markets.
  • Performs other duties as required.
