Within the Workforce Reporting and Analytics (WRA) unit lies the Operational Reporting team, and we need someone to help us tell the story behind that data.Your use of data visualization tools and other relevant HCM data products will help paint a more relatable and robust picture for your clients. Your ability to develop HCM data product solutions, while keeping stakeholder engagement at the forefront is foundational to success in this role. As a subject matter expert, proficiency in these areas is key as it will enable you to relate the story back to the client in a meaningful and relevant manner. At times, where existing data products and templates do not exist, you will need to draw on your knowledge and creativity to produce ad hoc solutions through our Workforce Reporting Platform (WRP) data warehouse and SAP Query Manager.As part of a creative, fast-paced, and highly collaborative environment, you will:Leverage your strong knowledge of data reporting, analysis, research, and consultation skills to get to the heart of the client #39;s HCM business problem. Compile, summarize, and analyze HCM data from different data sources into meaningful reports that provide insight and enable evidence-based decision-making. Data sources include 1GX, the Government of Alberta’s enterprise resource planning system and WRP. Design and present compelling narratives, including data visualizations, to communicate the implications of workforce trends and patterns to various APS audiences (Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Senior Leaders etc.), APS people leaders and external clients. Directly related education or experience considered based on:1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.Also required:Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Excel as a data amalgamation and presentation tool.Assets include:Experience managing several competing deadlines simultaneously. Experience with data reporting, analysis, research, and interpretation. Experience utilizing Microsoft Office products with a focus on Excel. A basic understanding of modern programming languages (e.g., Python, R)Preference Experience working with clients at various levels of an organization. Experience with SAP Query Manager (Query Manager, S/4 HANA, Success Factors), as well as demonstrated knowledge of other relevant databases, including PeopleSoft. Demonstrated understanding of various data sources and interpretation related to workforce management and development Proven ability to summarize, present, and report raw data in a meaningful manner to allow stakeholders to make evidence-based decisions. Demonstrated collaboration, stakeholder engagement and consulting skills.
