Ready to join US Division: Creative Services Work Status: Full Time (onsite) Location: Global Edmonton About the Role: Global Edmonton, a division of Corus Entertainment is looking for a talented and results-driven Supervisor to join the Creative Services team. Corus Creative Services provides Global and Clients with a full-service production facility for the creation of television and radio commercials, social media creative, corporate/non-broadcast videos, outdoor, brand Image campaigns, contesting opportunities, promotion concept development and execution of short and long format programming. The successful candidate will work in an extremely competitive market. Creative Services provides clients with creative ideas, copywriting, full production capabilities, design, animation, and non-linear editing. This position will report to the Manager of Creative Services. This is a full-time bargaining unit position of Supervisor, Commercial Production – Group G. You will contribute by: The following is a paraphrase of the primary functions and does not outline all the duties and responsibilities for this position: The Supervisor Commercial Production will work closely with the Manager of Creative Services to: Assistamp; support production requirements associated with all client productions. Maintain, document, and educate team on departmental processes, guidelines and templates for production as set by Manager. Resolve scheduling conflicts based on daily commercial production priorities, as set by Manager, Creative Services. Prepare monthly billing and tracking summaries. Prepare/approve production quotes. Write and produce content that shows a proven skilled capacity for both challenging client projects and turnaround of volume service. Track weekly status of project priorities, troubleshoot daily production challenges, and brings forward recommendations to Manager, Creative Services. Department Administration support as required; timesheets, organize and facilitate, supervise multiple daily/weekly meetings, etc. Support Writer/Producers with schedule changes, budgeting on projects, and/or scope of project increases or decreases. Support Post-Production team with schedule changes, technical project requirements, and/or scope of project increases or decreases. Can communicate and work on long distance productions that support other Corus markets across the country. Present client proposals to clients and sales teams with persuasive selling of production capabilities; support opportunities to sell production capabilities with clients and sales team. Prepare client proposalsamp; RFP responses which could include lead production brainstorm sessions with CS team, assignment of deadlines, mock-ups, workback, quotes, concept descriptions, spec. scripts. Assist and maintain CSGo. Maintains Creative Services facilities including Studio space. Other duties as required.Skills and experience you will bring: The successful candidate will be passionate, enthusiastic, people-centered, supportive and flexible. Possesses proven experience in client facing commercial production. In addition, possess the following leader qualifications: Minimum 10 years’ experience in Video Production(s), preferably within a broadcast/client agency video environment. Post-secondary education in Marketing/Communication/Broadcast/Media studies. Minimum 3 years’ experience at a leadership level. Proven experience in managing people. Strong leadership skills in studioamp; on location directing. Solid technical and equipment knowledge. Proven experience in leading and organizing work groups, coaching employees, monitoring progress, developing, and implementing team process recommendations, enforcing process/rules and ensuring quality compliance. Excellent communication and leadership skills as well as ability to resolve workplace issues quickly and effectively. Possess leadership confidence, problem solving and natural calm when faced with handling sensitive work situations. Have a positive attitude and appetite to inspire, guide, train and support fellow co-workers to own their work and deliver results. Be motivated to go above and beyond, support Creative Services/Sales locally and nationally fulfill our larger mission. Have ability to travel across country as required. Understanding of creative process, scope and production techniques and timelines. Have the ability to meet concurrent and conflicting deadlines. Be a professional team player with strong organization details and excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Demonstrate willingness to be a leader, proven track record in self-professional development. Have willingness to learn new equipment and software programs for production and coach team. Have proven ability to work a variety of shifts that may include working with teams/clients in different time zones, early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
