Schelters Stockroom Supply Co. is a value added reseller of personal computers, IT components, and a wide variety of associated business machines/equipment as well as office furniture and general office supplies.We are currently hiring an IT Technician Expediter working out of our Elmira location serving Waterloo and Wellington county. Ideal position for a College or Technical School graduate with strong focus on IT service and repair OR industry professional looking to have greater input and impact in their workplace. This position is ideally suited to an individual looking to apply their talents and energy to a range of challenges... some technical and some logistics support. One Part IT Tech and One Part Expediter, this position provides good balance and variety in your work life.As Expediter, you take an active leadership role in supporting the daily flow of deliveries, service calls and installations directing your time and the efforts of others on your team towards meeting each days objectives. Working both in house and on site at clients facilities you will work independently at times and at other times collectively providing leadership and support to your team members.As IT Tech you will be challenged with Break fix, repair/replace, installations and upgrades are everyday service requirements for PC/Laptop, Print peripherals including full sized copiers from Xerox and Sharp, Security Cameras, time and attendance systems and office telephony provide good challenges for a generalist.Responsibilities:

• Identifying system failures or bugs and provide solutions to restore functionality
• Troubleshoot issues related to hardware, operating systems and applications
• Install and configure software and drivers - Data Recovery and Data Transfer
• Repair and upgrade hardware and software for PC/Laptop - Remote, On-bench and On-site
• Offer technical and sales support and educate clients
• Installation and service of a wide range of associated business machines peripherals including, cash registers, Printers/Copiers, Time Clock Systems, security cameras, Telephone systems
• Leadership, support and direction of your team to meet daily delivery/service and installation requirements

• Logistics and delivery support including movement of products in and out of facility and on/off delivery trucks and delivery/install at clients facility

Qualifications/Key Competencies: - 2-5 years of relevant computer repair experience and IT support- College Diploma or Certifications in IT support and repair- Valid G drivers licence with clean drivers abstract required for delivery/installation and service calls using our trucks- Broad knowledge of computer components, hardware and peripherals- Working knowledge of:

• Microsoft operating systems
• PC Hardware
• Common peripheral devices such as printers, scanners, internet routers etc.
• TCP/IP basic small business networking environments

- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with proven ability to manage/lead and train others- Excellent customer sales and service skills- Experience with basic power tools and previous experience in a logistics/warehouse environment OR experience with furniture moving/installations would be considered an asset- Ability to assist with installations requires some heavy lifting ( 75 lbs + ) - job is ideally suited to a person that enjoys physical activity as this is a fit bit friendly positionWhy Schelter's You are looking for a balanced work life, a chance to apply your wide range of general talents to different and varied challenges.
