Locally owned and operated we are a growing family business and are member owners of Canadas largest buying group of office and business supplies resellers.Located in lovely small town Elmira just a quick 15 minute drive from Kitchener-Waterloo or Guelph.Job Description - Retail Sales Leader ( Youll Manage Results in our Retail Location)A full time contract retail position ( averaging 40 hours per week ) reporting directly to ownership and primarily responsible for providing sales and customer service leadership in our retail environment. Youre enthusiasm and determination are infectious and your behavior helps to set the highest of standards. You work closely with purchasing, administration and commercial sales/delivery team to achieve excellent operational results. Working with ownership you provide training support and direction to the rest of the retail team.To be successful, youll need to possess : 2 + years of experience in Retail environment ( prefer grocery, hardware or other hard goods ) - ideal position for individual currently acting as Retail Manager or Assistant Manager.Be a leader that drives sales results, develops people and has a strong customer service focusDetail oriented with good problems solving skills and strong organisation abilitiesWorks well independently but can collaborate with others when neededDemonstration of Retail Math Skills and foundational business knowledgeComputer literacy with basic Microsoft application (graphic design experience would be helpful )Previous experience with mentoring teams and trainingYoull impact our company positively by : Actively receiving, merchandising, picking and packing goods as they move in, through and out of our facility. This is a fit bit friendly position requiring the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and best suited to someone who enjoys being very physically active.Available to work mostly Monday to Friday, 5 shifts per week - shifts ranging in length but averaging 8 hours with start times as early as 8:30 AM to finish times of 5:30 PM with very occasional Saturday shift requirement ( training new hires ). You are the core person providing continuity to our daily retail operations and you will be relied upon to organize our daily work flow.Sales through excellence and accuracy in merchandising. Your understanding of our products and services is key to our personal approach to customer assistance and your excellent selling skills are the standard that all retail team members aim to achieve.Accurately invoice/credit and other cash management details. You have excellent administrative abilities and they are applied to store opening/closing, inventory management and other operational procedures including security, health and safety and execution of company policies and procedures.Ownership for results is reflected in your ability to problem solve, working collaboratively with others to insure that problems are resolved quickly.
