Job Description

Aspen Village Childcare is a licensed childcare facility located in Emerald Park, Saskatchewan. We are a very new centre that opened our doors in September of 2021! We have a beautiful facility that is attached to the Aspen Links golf course as well as the Aspen Links Rec Room. Our motto here at Aspen Village Childcare is “it takes a village to raise a child”. We strongly believe in providing a compassionate, safe and fun learning environment for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years of age.We are currently looking for Educators to join our team! The applicants must be ready and willing to work in all age groups from infants up to school age. Flexibility within all age groups is required.Qualifications for joining our team include (but are not limited to):

  • ECE level 2 or 3 (wage dependent on level and experience)
  • Criminal Record Check
  • Valid CRR/First Aid
  • A reliable vehicle and a valid drivers license is an absolute MUST
Responsibilities include:
  • Developing and maintaining meaningful relationships and open communication with the children and families on a daily basis.
  • Planning and providing daily, meaningful activities for the children in each room based on their interests and needs.
  • Using the “HiMama” app to communicate with the parents at our centre. Training will be provided if needed.
  • Sanitizing and cleaning the rooms and toys as required by our policies handbook.
  • Being able to work as part of a team and individually.
  • Being motivated, someone who takes initiative, a fast learner and someone who is willing to get down to a child’s level on a regular basis.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to multi task in a high energy environment.
  • Managing multiple children and situations at once, sometimes under high stress.
  • Maintaining a high level of supervision of the children at all times.
  • Knowledge of proper ratios of each age group as set out by the Ministry of Education.
