Equipment Operator with Water/Wastewater DistributionCertification I- Permanent Full-timeThe RM of Edenwold is a municipality located just east of the City of Regina. It is home to nearly 5,000 residents and over 200 businesses. Emerald Park and the Great Plains Industrial Park form part of the RM of Edenwold along with over 20 other residential and commercial subdivisions. There are four major highways that intersect in the municipality including the No. 1 Highway and a segment of the new ReginaBypass. The RM of Edenwold is home to a wide range of land uses associated with both rural and urban environments. The diversity in the municipality presents unique and interesting challenges. We believe this is an opportunity for you to work for an exceptional organization with great people.The RM of Edenwold is accepting applications for the position of permanent full-time Equipment Operator with Water/Wastewater Distribution Certification I.

• Equipment operation and maintenance of tractors, mowers, skid steer, packers and other equipment;
• Hard surface roadway maintenance which can include but not limit to, crack sealing, pothole repair, chipseal repair, line painting;
• Park maintenance of grassed areas, trees, shrubs, etc.;
• Knowledge of operating and repairing irrigation systems;
• Annual weed control which requires a license;
• Winter maintenance, snow removal, ice control for roads and pathways;
• Seasonal drainage maintenance such as culvert steaming/cleaning;
• Assisting with the Water Treatment Plant operation and general maintenance of the Plant;
• Assisting with daily testing, sampling and record keeping;
• Assisting with meter reading;
• Yearly water valve exercising;
• Semi annual watermain flushing and hydrant maintenance;
• Assist with lift station maintenance and monitoring of the collection system;
• Ability to be on call 24 – 7 for assisting in Emergency situations;
• All other duties as assigned.
• Must have a valid Power Mobile Equipment Certificate or be willing to obtain same;
• Applicants must have a valid drivers license and vehicle;
• Applicants must be able to work with minimal supervision and must be able to work well with others;
• Valid Saskatchewan Vehicle Operator’s License with air endorsement would be an asset;
• Any certifications or journeyman tickets would be an asset;
• Must have Grade 12 or equivalent or a combination of education & experience;
• Preference will be given to those candidates who have achieved Level I Water &

Wastewater Distribution certification;

• WHMIS, Confined Space Entry, First Aid/CPR are required;
• Mechanical ability for repairing equipment would be an asset;
• Water/Wastewater treatment or distribution experience an asset; and
• Excellent health (position requires significant walking, climbing and lifting).
• The RM of Edenwold offers competitive wages and benefits package based on education, qualifications and relevant experience;
• Determination of wage will be based on proven years of experience.
• $25.00/hour to $30.00/hour
