If you have a strong background in community engagement, office administration, website administration, data entry, social media administration and enjoy working with the public, then this job is for you!Reporting to the Executive Director and assisting the Community Engagement and Development Coordinator, this position will provide office administrative assistance, to enhance social supports and services within the city of Wetaskiwin. This person needs to work well under pressure and possess the ability to work on multiple projects at a time. The term for this position is August 2, 2021 to December 31, 2021, with the possibility of extension.ResponsibilitiesProvide appropriate referrals to a client base while maintaining corresponding data entry.Facilitate and/or deliver programs that assist community members in becoming healthy, independent, and engaged members of the community.Organize, schedule, and facilitate meetings. Ex. Interagency, Community partnerWork collaboratively with community partners and funders, advocate for community resources.Ensure outcomes are met.Coordinate and assist with promotion of events, initiatives and community engagement campaigns using website, social media, and print platforms.Provide proactive identification of community trends and concerns through social media, email, etc. and communicate those to the Coordinator for input.Develop and monitor content for City of Wetaskiwin Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) social media accountsManage day-to-day website updates and develop content for the web in accordance with website standards.Develop infographics, posters, and other graphics using available specialized software.Keep up to date on new tools and techniques for public engagement, including digital tools and trends.Education and QualificationsMinimum Grade 12 Diploma or GEDTraining and relevant experiencePost-secondary education in community development and engagement is an assetStrong computer literacy skillsAccurate Note Taking SkillsAbility to work independently and within a team contextAbility to handle stressful client issuesExcellent oral and written communication skills in EnglishResilient, creative and energetic person with a passion for community-based work.Demonstrated effective and efficient organizational skills and abilities.Experience working on social media platforms and Google SuitesCommitment to ongoing learning and professional development.Possess and/or be willing to acquire a current criminal record check and vulnerable sector check (within the last 6 months)Ability to flex hours of work (Ex.
