Job Description

Paint Shop LaborerWe are currently looking to fill a position for a Paint Shop Laborer for our commercial and fleet repair services at our Calgary facility.

  • This is an entry level position.Training and education support will be provided.
About Us:Fleet Works is a repair and paint facility specializing in fleet vehicles, commercial vehicles and specialized equipment. We offer collision repair, refinishing, abrasive media blasting, other repair and installation services to our business customers in the Southern Alberta area.Duties Include:
  • Completion of assignments following company guidelines and supplier procedures to meet our customer specifications.
  • Forklift operation - shipping, receiving, moving items throughout facility.
  • Assisting the abrasive media blasting with setup, cleaning, organizing, etc.
  • Assisting the paint operations by prepping, masking, cleaning, setup for paint, etc.Maintaining cleanliness of work space, getting units setup for painting, etc.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of facility, facility repairs, organization, etc.
  • Be organized and responsible for the proper completion of tasks as needed.
  • Make a conscious effort to complete work according to the timelines set out which may include the need to work overtime.
  • Maintain a good work attitude and cooperate with managers and fellow employees in a positive spirit of teamwork.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Education, Skills, and Experience Requirements:
  • No experience required and we will train and support those wanting to upgrade.
Position Characteristics and Workplace Factors:General physical skills carrying, lifting – 50 lbs., squatting, kneeling, pushing, standing, sitting, walking, reaching and pulling extensively.Exposure to the following elements:
  • Fumes.
  • Dirt, dust.
  • Chemicals / toxins.
  • Hazards.
  • Heat/cold.
  • Noise.
