The facility is recruiting for a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to help support our Production team.Responsibilities:Maintaining equipment in a satisfactory condition for safe operationExecuting preventative maintenance schedulesPerforming equipment repairs as neededInstalling new equipment and systemsImproving the operation efficiency of production equipment and central servicesDiagnosing/Troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and optimizing running settingsInteracting daily with computerized maintenance and parts programsWorking with other departments on process improvement activitiesRecommending changes and/or improvements to plant equipment/facilities/proceduresWorking with outside contractors and other tradesOperating and changing over equipment as requiredPerforming all assigned duties in a safe and productive mannerKeeping work area orderly and cleanOther tasks as directed by Maintenance lead hands and/or SupervisorsWorking collaboratively with team membersQualifications:Must exhibit a safety-first mindsetMust hold a valid Red Seal Industrial Mechanic / Millwright license with a certificate of QualificationExperience in the beverage/food/packaged goods industry preferredMust be skilled in use of machine shop equipment (lathe, mill, grinder, etc.)Must be able to lift/carry 50-85 lbsMust be able to push/pull up to 50 lbsMust be able to perform frequent standing, bending, twisting, crawling, kneeling, squatting, climbing, reaching and graspingMust be able to work on computers and iPadsOT is readily availableFlexibility required regarding shifts; notice provided if a shift change is necessaryMust be able to work night shifts or weekend shifts as required#PBC
