  • Two-year Business Administration Diploma
  • Minimum of 4 years’ recent experience in data entry, cash receipts, reconciliations, deposits and payment processing as well as experience with POS Machines
  • Knowledge of the accounting cycle and accounting terminology
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and use established methods that are well defined or detailed to perform work defined by standard practice
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications with intermediate to advanced skills in spreadsheet applications such as Excel
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality and accountability is a must
An equivalent combination of education, experience, and knowledge acceptable by the College may also be considered.Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Great Plains and Power Campus will also be considered an asset

The College provides lifelong, relevant, and practical learning opportunities and is committed to increasing access to post-secondary programs.Keyano College Financial Services Department is currently seeking an Accounting Clerk – Cashier. Reporting to the Senior Financial Analyst, this position is responsible for:
  • Front desk administrative duties – greet all customers and assist with customer inquiries
  • Verification of documentation to confirm compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Reconciling of daily cash receipts and preparation of daily cash reports
  • Review batch edits for accuracy before posting to financial system (Power Campus to Great Plains)
  • Data entry of all daily deposits received from other Keyano College departments and Keyano College Land Trust
  • Prepare daily bank deposits
  • Enter payments received and monitor reports for import errors
  • Process refunds on POS Machine or online with Moneris Gateway, complete end of day closing reports
  • Account reconciliations
  • Issue petty cash payments, and replenish petty cash and floats when needed
  • Assist Students Account Receivable clerk with student accounts – account inquiries, financial holds, refunds
  • Order/maintain office supplies
  • Retrieve mail and monitor cash office email account
  • Assist Accounts Payable with weekly cheque run – print cheques and upload EFT payments
