Alberta Health Services (AHS) has a part time Care Manager leadership position available in our new Continuing Care Centre (Willow Square) located in stunning, vibrant Fort McMurray. This role is integral to our long-term care facility and provides the successful candidate the autonomy to manage a team using their own leadership style. Under your direction, you will lead the team and provide consistent guidance and direction, as well as your thoughts and ideas on how to improve processes. We are looking for someone with seniors’ health or long-term care experience to re-align the emphasis on delivering patient and family-centered care. Previous management experience is not a must, but a healthcare leadership role or clinical background in seniors’ health would be preferred. Apply today!Description:As the Care Manager, you will be reporting to the Seniors Health Area Manager to improve service delivery, enhance workflow, and successfully lead our Long-term Care department. You will possess demonstrated skills in decision-making, coaching, mentoring, teaching, and the ability to motivate, inspire and build confidence in others. As the Care Manager, you will have a passion for resident and family-centered care, advocating for residents while working to meet their needs or their family’s needs. Fort McMurray a thriving community with lively social, arts, recreational and cultural opportunities. The candidate will work at Alberta Health Services’ new Fort McMurray Continuing Care Centre (Willow Square) and be instrumental in supporting the transition and expansion of service. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Fort McMurray Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $12,480. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.

Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare profession, health management, or related field. Previous experience working in Seniors Health.Additional Required Qualifications:As required.Preferred Qualifications:Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the applicable college.
