Job Description

Opportunity: Class 1 & 2 Bus DriverSchedule: Full time: 14 days on, 7 days off. All Bus driving positions are split shifts AM and PM.Job Location: Syncrude Base plant, Aurora & MLXOpportunity Description: Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety of all passengers
  • Class 1 & 2 Onsite Transportation
  • Ensure compliance with safety legislation and National Safety Code (NSC) requirements
  • Follow corporate safety program and maintenance program
  • Pre/ post trip inspections
  • Complete daily log/time records as required
  • Full knowledgeable of company’s safety and maintenance program
  • Conducts/and documents thorough trip inspections
  • Immediately report any defect with the equipment
  • Cleans equipment as required
  • Works together with the on-site Safety Advisor to ensure compliance with company and client HSE policies
Job Requirements:
  • Must send a copy of your 5 year commercial driver’s abstract with your resume. Your abstract must meet our insurance requirements.
  • Must have a reliable mode of transportation to and from the pickup/drop off location in Gregoire
  • English as a second language testing is required for all employees
  • No camp provided or housing provided
Qualifications:
  • Valid Class 1 & 2 Driver’s License with a clean 5 year commercial driver’s abstract
  • Must have Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience operating a bus or other large commercial vehicles
  • Syncrude Site experience as a driver is considered an asset
  • Self-motivated, reliable, flexible and proactive with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated history of safety excellence
