Job Description

  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate Geology, Hydrogeology or Environmental Engineering program at an accredited post secondary institution
  • You must be returning to full-time studies after the work term

Responsibilities:Office Duties may include:
  • Working with large data sets, including data entry, validation, editing and interpretation for a variety of projects
  • Plotting physical and water chemistry data using modeling/CADD software
  • Updating instrumentation maps and tracking data/instrumentation
  • Understanding Geological reviews to assist with well/instrument placements
  • Assisting with development of regulatory reports
Field duties may include:
  • Visual inspection of surficial and groundwater networks
  • Assist in collection of water samples
  • Assist in collection of digital data from field instrumentation
Location and other Key Details:
  • This is an 8 or 12-month work term starting in January 2023
  • Potential Locations for student roles include Calgary, Edmonton, Fort McMurray (Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo), MacKay River, Fort Hills (Fly-in-Fly-Out), Oakville. You will be asked to indicate your availability in your application.
