Join NACG as a Tire Technician and start earning our long term service awards.Site: KearlSchedule: 14x14 (Days and nights)Accommodations: Camp providedTransportation: Flights provided to and from Edmonton or CalgaryOvertime: Currently at Kearl they have blended rates with no overtimeHourly Rate: Up to $56.70 per hourDaily Attraction Bonus: Kearl is offering a daily attraction bonus for days worked at $60/dayKearl Advantage: Kearl is offering a travel allowance per rotation. Amount determined based on location. Travel allowances will be paid to/from location.The successful candidate will be required to join the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 955.Rate is based on experience, ranges from Group 1 +$1 - Group 4Responsibilities:

• Assist experienced Tireman until fully trained (level 1)
• Able to set up haul trucks and heavy equipment for tire work
• Able to prepare and assemble OTR tires for installation/repair
• Operate Tire manipulators to assemble/install wheel/tire assemblies (or willing to be trained on these)

Specific Requirements

• Tire Industry Association Certificate (TIA) or TIA Training required
• Tire Manipulator (forklift or Loader style) experience an asset
• Tire truck (knuckle boom) manipulator experience an asset

Qualifications:

• Previous experience dis-assembling/assembly and removal/installation of OTR tire/wheel assemblies
• Level of pay will be determined by level of experience (Group 1 + $1 through Group 4)
• Class 3 license required (willing to train and reimburse if successful candidate does not have Class 3)

Summary:All successful candidates must:

• Be proficient in English, both verbally and written
• Have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License
• Have experience as requested as mentioned above
• Subject to Random Testing at: Suncor, Suncor Fort Hills and Kearl sites
• Undergo and successfully pass the following testing:

• Breath Alcohol Test
• Urine Drug Test
• Fitness-to-Work Assessment
• Audiometric Testing
• Vision Screening
• Criminal Record Check

Shift, site, and start times are subject to change.All successful candidates MUST provide the following items prior to confirmation of their start date:

• CSO or BSO Certification
• Copy of Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
• Copy of recent Driver’s Abstract
• VOID cheque/direct deposit form
• Silica Awareness
• Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness

Once dispatched the following processes will occur:

• Will receive a call from NACG to set up all required pre-employment testing
• An email will be sent with all required New Hire Paperwork to be filled out
• After all results are received by NACG candidates will be contacted by Site Admin to schedule orientation and confirm your start date and other site specific details.
