Job Description

Short Range Planner, Mine Maintenance - (2211982)The Opportunity:The Mine Maintenance Planner – Short Range will develop and manage the short term running and PM based maintenance plan for mining equipment at Horizon. In this role, you will monitor ongoing maintenance activities, and modify existing plans based on progress, availability of resources, and additional work requirements.This role has the opportunity to utilize both their expertise in heavy duty equipment and in schedule planning to ensure that an effective maintenance plan is implemented.Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage the work order and maintenance tracking system through Maximo and Excel computer software
  • Prepare work orders and order parts based on request and planned work requirements. Ensure timely and cost effective delivery for equipment maintenance
  • Develop an effective short term maintenance plan and schedule revising as required
  • Prepare, maintain and update job plans
  • Identify, order or schedule resources required for planned tasks, including parts, equipment, materials, tools, procedures, documents and external resources.
  • Review information from oil sample analysis, component operating hour data, mechanics reports, operating reports, OEM suppliers component supply contracts to propose and schedule component replacements.
  • Monitor maintenance costs and identify variances with plan

  • Job location: Horizon, Fort McMurray Alberta
  • Shift schedule: 8x6 – rotation begins Monday, 10hrs/day
  • Eligible for relocation pursuant to Canadian Natural’s Relocation Regular Policy
  • Company sponsored Fly-In/Fly-out program from Calgary or Edmonton

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Typically 2+ years of experience related industry experience, and an Engineering degree (preferably Mechanical), trades certification, or technical diploma
  • Maximo, Excel and DAS software experience/qualification preferred
  • Familiarity with and understanding of:
  • Heavy equipment maintenance
  • Planning for mine maintenance
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Vendor Maintenance Support Programs COCP or RAMP
